Battle Arena Toshinden [PS1(Duckstation)]: Ellis Arcade playthrough (Hard Difficulty - 1995)
...And now a little something for me personally. Anyone who knows me knows that I heavily cherish Battle Arena Toshinden 1 and that I have an Ellis run already on this channel from eons ago. It's one of my most viewed playthroughs way back in the early days of Youtube, way before I knew any of the online happenings or technology improvements that I do now (LOL DAZZLE QUALITY & MULTI-PART VIDEOS A MAX 15 MINUTES LONG EACH), so seeing how emulation and HD tech can enhance the experience of playing one of the oldest 3D fighters on the planet to me is nuts. I know the series is long gone & buried in the sands of time by this point, but it'll always be the game that I feel changed my whole attitude towards playing fighting games with, going from being another "I play the main character dude" to "speedy, combo-happy girls with cute and energetic personalities are freaking awesome" lol. Plus I just love how this game played and it's general pace, despite there always being those that think the game was so 'absurdly primitive' that it's shunned to joke levels whenever it is brought up in talk circles. Oh, and now that I managed to get the music working on emulator, I can revisit the awesome soundtrack while playing, which put me on the way to enjoying rock music in the first place.
So here's a "HD revisit" towards Toshinden 1, just for old times sake with my original 'school crush'. Also at the end of the run I go out my way to include a bonus battle against the "Akuma" of BAT, Eiji's aloof big bro, Sho Shinjo, just to wrap things up.
