Battle Arena Toshinden Remix - Sega Saturn Review
Battle Arena Toshinden was one of the most popular games on the PlayStation in its first year on the market. It was frequently used against Virtua Fighter as proof the hardware was superior. It came to the Sega Saturn at the end of 1995, but didn't quite live up to fan expectation.

Episode Notes:
1. Captured on real hardware.
2. Toshinden would see numerous sequels and spinoffs on the Playstation, but only one, Toshinden URA, for the Saturn.
3. Toshinden would be joined by other Playstation ports on the Saturn. Wipeout, Destruction Derby, and many others eventually saw release as well.
4. The Japanese version of this is really inexpensive. I've seen it go for $10. The sequel too.
5. There are numerous missing background effects in the Saturn version. Aside from the polygon elements mentioned in the video, the city arena loses the giant TV broadcasting the fight, and the waterfall is different in the canyon stage.
6. I thought about running a side by side against VF2, but what was the point? There is such a stark contrast between the two, it's like comparing a 32X game to the Saturn.
