Battle Bears: Zombies (iOS/PC Longplay, FULL GAME, No Commentary)
457Released in 2009 for iOS, Battle Bears: Zombies is a quirky, over-the-top third-person shooter developed by SkyVu Entertainment. Mixing fast-paced action with absurd humor, the game follows Oliver, a grumpy battle-worn teddy bear, as he fends off waves of relentless "Huggables"—adorable yet murderous stuffed bears determined to hug him to death.
The gameplay is simple but addictive, featuring a stationary shooting setup where players use a variety of weapons—ranging from machine guns to flamethrowers—to mow down increasingly challenging waves of enemies. The game’s absurdity is amplified by its ridiculous arsenal, hilarious cutscenes, and a surprisingly solid difficulty curve.
In 2020, Battle Bears: Zombies was ported directly to Steam, offering sharper in-game resolution and full mouse support, making aiming much smoother compared to the original touch controls. However, outside of these technical improvements, the game remains identical to its mobile counterpart, preserving its nostalgic charm and chaotic gameplay.
I used to play the hell out of Battle Bears back when I was a kid, so returning to the franchise after over a decade was a delight. Granted, it was generally the sequels that I played the most, but it was still great to play through this one again!
