Here is a multi-run in Battlefield 1 showing what a Geforce GT 740 can do.
All benchmark runs are on tweaked low settings except the 1024x768 benchmark. i would personally recommend 1366x768 (not shown in this video) on low settings for the best balance of performance and looks. That 1GB GDDR5 RAM does help out because of the higher speeds and the 128-bit bandwidth, but it is still 1GB, so you will be slightly limited on the textures and filters settings without getting too many framedrops.
