‘Battlefield 2042’s upcoming Open Beta has reportedly been delayed to October.

According to reliable ‘Battlefield’ leaker Tom Henderson, the new Beta dates have been moved from later this month to early October.

Taking to Twitter, he revealed that the new ‘Battlefield 2042’ Beta dates start on October 6 for Early Access and on October 8 for the Open Beta.

Developer DICE nor publisher Electronic Arts have yet to confirm the news of the delayed Beta dates, the developer revealed a couple days ago via Twitter that they would update fans on the Open Beta later this month.

The news comes after it was announced ‘Battlefield 2042’ would be delayed from October 22 to November 19.

In a statement, DICE studio general manager Oskar Gabrielson revealed: “Building the next generation of Battlefield during a global pandemic has created unforeseen challenges for our development teams.
“Given the scale and scope of the game, we had hoped our teams would be back in our studios together as we move towards launch.
“With the ongoing conditions not allowing that to happen safely, and with all the hard work the teams are doing from home, we feel it is important to take the extra time to deliver on the vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players.”
