About the Game:
Set to be released on October 10, 2025, Battlefield 6 is the eighteenth installment in the Battlefield series published by EA, and a "back to basics" game for the franchise.
Following the lackluster performance of Battlefield 2042 and its overall backlash from the player base, DICE made the decision to create the best Battlefield game possible by focusing on core gameplay elements that had been successful in previous titles. Realizing the popularity of these previous elements, they sought to return to the series' roots by incorporating features from Battlefield 3, 4, and Bad Company 2, while also addressing criticisms of Battlefield 2042. The developers were aware of the need to balance player freedom with the traditional class system, which had been a point of contention in the series' history, and recognized the need to reintroduce their famous "levolution", a destructible map mechanic that had been scaled down in BF2042. To ensure BF6 lives up to the standards players had come to expect, EA launched "Battlefield Labs", a closed-access worldwide playtest for Battlefield 6, allowing DICE to collect feedback from players and make gameplay adjustments.
Battlefield 6 was revealed on July 24th, 2025, with further more info from developers of Battlefield Studios in multiplayer reveal event on July 31st, 2025.
