Battlefield V es un videojuego de disparos y acción bélica en primera persona1 desarrollado por EA Digital Illusions CE y distribuido por Electronic Arts. La recepción previa al lanzamiento del juego fue mixta, con el anuncio del tráiler que causó reacciones violentas por parte de los fanáticos de la serie por el grado de inexactitud histórica y la inclusión de mujeres soldados. A pesar de eso, el 9 de junio de 2020 recibió su última actualización, en donde se añadieron más elementos realistas al juego, como por ejemplo los uniformes alemanes y británicos se ven más de acuerdo a la época a diferencia de versiones anteriores, también añadieron personajes más realistas (como generales y soldados de infantería Alemana y Americana, oficiales de la Luftwaffe y la USAAF, entre otros), armas, vehículos, mapas, etc. Esto generó una reacción positiva por parte de la comunidad e incluso se realizó una campaña para que los desarrolladores continuarán añadiendo contenido al juego.

Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access on November 15, 2018,[2] and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018.[3] The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I-based precursor Battlefield 1.
Pre-release reception of the game was mixed, with the announcement trailer causing significant backlash from some fans of the series. Upon release, Battlefield V received generally favorable reviews from critics, who praised its gameplay and new multiplayer modes but criticized for its shortage of content at launch and lack of innovation. The game sold 7.3 million copies by the end of 2018, but was a commercial disappointment for Electronic Arts. On April 23, 2020, it was announced that support for the game would continue until the summer of 2020, when it would receive its last major update.
