Battlezone Combat Commander Gameplay - ISDF Branch + ISDF Mission 15: A Traitor's Fate
Just before Major Cooke returned to the ISDF Base with the Scion Leader, the Scions play one last card that Cooke wasn't prepared for. They stopped fighting, and a single Warrior Tank stepped forward, claiming to be ISDF Commander Yelena Shabayev, Cooke's former immediate superior. As soon as Shabayev reached Cook's position, Braddock desperately orders Cooke to destroy the Scion vehicle, arguing that it's a Scion trick. Then, the game shows two options to proceed by the in-game dialog:
1- Destroy the Scion Tank (identified as "Yelena"), which results in the ISDF branch of the game's plot.
2- Order the ISDF Tug that carries the Scion Leader to follow the "Yelena" Tank, which propmts the Scion branch of the game's plot.
By choosing the first option, Major Cooke remains in the ISDF as the second-in-command of the ISDF Fleet, only below General Braddock, and the first mission of this branch does not involve the Scions at all. It turns out that Major Manson did survive the battle right after the destruction of the ISDF Orbital Carrier, but he is very unpleased with the handling of the situation by General Braddock, and when he learned about the failure of the AAN to court-martial the general, he offered himself to lead the ISDF Forces that remained loyal to the AAN, to put an end to Braddock's "New Regime" before they could do something about the Earth. Without thinking on it, Braddock sent Cooke to deal with Manson's rebels, but Manson had some time to scout the terrain and set the rules of the next battle.
Will Cooke overcome the odds and defeat Manson, as well as the rest of the AAN Loyalists, or will this rebellion succeed and steer the war towards the Scion side?
