The Palermo edition of Repubblica, on 20 05 25 published an article with a very singular title: "The Mutineers of the Bayesian..."
Reading the article, right at the last paragraph, indicates an aspect that, if confirmed by the investigations, would be truly disconcerting: the Dutch operator could have found himself operating alone at 50 meters of depth!
We do not know if this is true,... it is up to the investigators to establish it, but we know that in cases like this, given the extent of the Risks and the Danger that is run, common sense says that there should be at least two people when working in certain very dangerous situations. And never alone!
