A simple anti air can turn a match completely on it's head if Terumi has OD stocked. I've compared this with 4D as well, and the same routing works, just about 100 less damage overall. Counter hit 6A improves the damage by about 400-500, and CH 4D gives you the opportunity for a side switch.

Basically, if you read a jump-in, you can turn the match into your favor, and be close to getting OD back, or you can keep the meter for mixups and pressure.
