Be Interested and Also Casual
I think it's important to be interested in things while also having a casual approach to them. There's so many games that require dozens or hundreds of hours to complete, and things that make us feel like we're obligated to put them first - fun can be lost in pursuit of the grind.
The best games are the ones that fit in well alongside whatever you have going on in your life. The kind of things that enrich your life without creating a sense of obligation, and the sort of activities that you can immerse yourself in when you feel like it, while also stepping away from freely when you don't want to play.
In many aspects of our lives - not just gaming - it's important to have a healthy relationship with the activities we have in life. A game should always feel like a voluntary activity, not an obligation to finish. It's also important to remember that you don't have to "100%" something to be a fan of it.
