Do Ends Justify Means?
It's easy to think that you should do something that feels wrong now because it will be for the greater good later. But in the end, the truth always catches up.
It's true that some people get ahead and make short term gains by doing things that aren't built on good fundamentals. There's always people who make poor choices and get away with it. But doing what is right pays off more often.
It's important to live a life in a way that commands respect. Even if you don't feel like you need others today, there may come a time when you do. And if you've lived your life proving that you can't be trusted, you won't be taken seriously when you need the trust of others.
It's OK to live a private life - but not a dishonest one. Build on good fundamentals, and never be too proud (or too worried about what others may think or do) to change course when you make a mistake.
