BeamNG 0.21 Multiplayer - Improved West Coast Circuit | Bolide 390 GTR BeamMP Testing /w AkimboBeta
47The BeamNG.drive 0.21 tire model update has made many of the BeamNG track cars and race cars much nicer to drive, and the Civetta Bolide 390 GTR Group 4 is no exception. There's some slight issues, like excessively oversteer prone brake bias and overheating in a few laps, but by removing the nosecone you can increase cooling at the expense of downforce, which was the focus of our later testing! With the brake squeal and tire screech effects in this physics based sound engine, the Bolide is sounding especially nice in version 0.21 as well.
The new West Coast full circuit race track flows really nicely, with less rough edges or hard bumps to ruin your racing or wreck your alignment, but the consequences of a racing incident are just as high with the higher average speeds now possible using optimal racing lines. High speed overtakes make for much more intense racing in a racing sim with such nuanced soft body collision physics. It feels especially good battling for positions in the latest BeamMP update with the most recent predictions and lag reduction.
