BEAMRIDER REVIEW FOR ATARI 2600.
In this review, my ongoing quest to find awesome Atari 2600 games that don't suck leads me to an interesting title. It's Beamrider!
Activision enjoyed something of a legendary reputation for coaxing the very best out of the console, and here, courtesy of ace programmer Dave Rolfe, they tackle a game originally developed for the Intellivision console. The hardware was a bit less capable, but as you'll see, that doesn't stand in the way of Rolfe's admirable efforts to craft one of the best Atari 2600 games money can buy!
