Our beloved 8 and 16 bit consoles saw no end of games following the classic arcade style spaceship shooter formula. Here, I take a look at Data East's Override, one of the more obscure PC Engine shooters. It's a game that acknowledges the harsh reality that, to make an impression in a crowded scene, you have to do something different. But in a market heaving with vertically scrolling shoot 'em ups, is it entirely successful? Let's pick this one apart!
