Beating All NA N64 Games - Killer Instinct Gold (6 of 296) [Master Difficulty; Jago]
RANKING: C+
"Available for your home in 1995, only on Nintendo Ultra 64"
I hate fighting games with long combo systems, which is what this game has. I hate how you have to take a college course to learn the combo system and have to memorize the long list of attacks to do it. You can't just jump into a game like this; I prefer the timing-of-a-single-attack-to-hit style of fighting games, those one you can get right into. Some say it adds depth, I say it's too complex to get into, that's probably why it took so long to make a sequel, no one but the hardcore fans asked for one.
The character's aren't as memerable as in games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, which all of the characters were iconic winners. Even the sexy girl in this isn't even memorible; characters like Mai Shiranui or Felicia, I still hear people talk about or reference them, even a lot those people don't even know or played what game they came from, now that's how you know you made some good characters.
This is a slightly about average fighting game, elevated only by the good soundtrack.
