Turok 1 - Cartridge Authentication & Manual
RANKING: A+
Here's another game that a lot of people complain about the controls, and as you will see in the stream, I have no problem with them. This was the game pioneered the default controls for console 3D First-Person Shooters; it seems during the early 00's, developers switched around the default controls from Movement on the right & Looking on the left, to Movement on the left & Looking on the right. My brother was good at the default N64 FPS controls, but then he switched over to what the defaults are today. I noticed this when he is playing online and he gets a call on the phone and I take over playing, and I have to switch the controls. I asked him about this and he said he switched preference around when Halo 2 came out "to get good at the game".
So Turok means The Son Of Stone, it's a title passed down the Fireseed family for the person to protect the barrier between Earth and The Lost Lands. The Campaigner plans to shatter that barrier and rule the universe by collecting the pieces of The Chronoscepter and using it in conjunction with a massive focusing array. To make the game easier, it's best to get the Chronoscepter and using it against The Campaigner, though not required. To make your way to The Campaigner, we have to find the keys to open the portals to other levels and getting the Level 8 Keys to him.
Highly recommend this game, you can change the controls to the opposite fucked up way that is now the standard. It's a great massive FPS with great music.
