Yup. We're talking about it. Aeon Trespass Odyssey & The Quackalope email debacle, situation, dilemma. Whatever you want to call it. However, what I'm really concern about is what this reveals and shows on that side of the community with the relationship between publishers and creators as well how people in these roles ultimately need to be acting regardless of the money changing hands.
It's not that someone is getting paid, it's not how much someone is getting paid. It's the implication in this situation in particular being brought to light that something else is being hinted at as a possibility. Unfortunately this also coincides with another huge issue in this industry: the growing number of paid content that doesn't actually add value to me as a consumer and publishers trying to control narratives on campaign pages through the spending of money in the first place. These are the issues we need to touch on as well.
