Hi all and a Merry Christmas to you all.

In this stream I will start with a look on my channels, over the last year. I present you my thoughts here, written and more condensed further down. After the hard thoughts, we deliver some Luminalia (Christmas) presents in the new Cutlass Steel and then check out the mining in 3.16.

Here is my Christmas lookback at my Youtube and Twitch channels:
I feel very fortunate and blessed that I have gained over 50 followers on Twitch in a relatively short amount of time, so I really want to thank you all for that. But I also have to look at my streams realistically and see if my time is really well spent. Over the last 6 months or so, the average viewers on my twitch channel has been less than 1 (where 3 is needed for Twitch affiliation). Also looking at the amount of activity on the stream chat, it is very light. I do spent quite some time preparing for a stream and even more so, streaming in itself. My conclusion so far has been, that with +50 followers it should be possible to have more than 5 viewers pr. stream and hopefully, an equal amount of people in the chat. Less than that doesn't indicate to me that something is wrong with my content or the way I stream.
This may mean that I might spend a lot less time in the in the new year, streaming and focusing more on my Youtube content, where I do have a lot of more freedom. Don't get me wrong. I love streaming and I love the direct interaction I can have with the audience. But there needs to be an audience and there needs to be interaction, for it to be worth the while for me. Otherwise it it just me locking myself in front of the computer for several hours, spending time, ressources and bandwith, in something I could just as well have been doing for myself.
So if you, my dear viewers, are adamant that what I do is cool, worth spending time on viewing and worth spending time with me, then please please show it. Be there, be part of the stream and be an active part of the channel. Also, be an active part of the Discord. Again, some of you are and thank you for that.

For my Youtube channel, I just have to admit the same trend. I have quite low viewing count and I haven't gained many new subscribers in the last 6 months (some, even lost). This again may be tributed to my way to being, the games I play, the way I play or just extreme tough competition. But nevertheless, it means that I again here will have to consider whether my time is well spent in creating content that I try to put a lot of love and 'Me' into, that nobody really watches.
This does not mean that I won't be making new content for Youtube or be streaming on Twitch, but rather that I will be creating a little less content for Youtube and then perhaps occasionally stream in Twitch. Maybe something like a weekly stream. I haven't decided yet. I may spend the first 3-4 weeks in the new year with the same regular schedule, to measure any changes. What I won't be changing, however, is me and the type of games I play. I don't have any interest in PvP, FPS or similar competition games, but I might select to stream other games from my list. We will see.

I really want to wish you all a Merry Merry Christmas and if we don't see each other before, then also a happy New Year.

Sincerely,
Michael "Mike" Hansen
