Beginners Guide: How To Fix, Repair & Refuel Helicopters In Arma Reforger
12The Helicopters in Arma Reforger, the UH-1H for the US Army & the Mi-8 for the Soviet Russian Army, are a very powerful asset in any game mode or scenario, but they often will need repairing before use, and definitely after receiving ground-fire!
It's important to have the spanner equipped, but to fully repair any helicopter in Reforger you're going to need a Repair Truck vehicle in close proximity, or have landed the helicopter on a heli-pad.
It's also important to have a good look around the chopper to check for damage, and even when you think you've repaired everything, get in the pilots seat and look for warning lights & icons.
Common damage points are tail rotors, main rotors, engine, drive-train and fuel tank, but I bet the BI Devs will add more as the game develops.
As for how to fuel and refuel a Helicopter in Arma Reforger, you've either got to land on a heli-pad, or drive a fuel truck into close quarters with you helicopter to fill it with gas.
It is possible to use Jerry-Cans, but it takes a long, long time and isn't worth the effort unless it's an emergency and that's the only way you can get fuel to your bird.
