I love thinking about the little battles all the small things face everyday. With the pull tab separated from the can, this can has been beheaded, left mangled, emptied and exposed. In the original piece the rim of the can was highlighted to create a halo effect around the top of the can, the halo itself was there to personify the can.

Art Alive! has an incredibly limited palette of 16 colours, so I really wanted to find a composition that pop with just two, red and green, allowing me to use grey, black and white, as well as lighter shades of red and green, to give the can some shape.

I've been working on my very own art exhibition using Art Alive! What started as a challenge to myself to produce something beautiful on Art Alive! turned into a year long project to develop a series of artworks pushing this obsolete drawing tool (that doesn't even let you save your work).
