Magic: The Gathering is mixing with Dungeons and Dragons in their first cross over set, D&D: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. Here are my predictions for some iconic monsters from the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual making an appearance in Magic: The Gathering. MTGAFR. Newest MTG Set.

Beholders are one of the most nasty monsters in Dungeons & Dragons. They are versatile as their many eye rays can produce a wide array of magical effects. No single Beholder is like any other because of the vast number of different combinations they can be. They can be a lot like Slivers in Magic: The Gathering, able to be and have almost any ability or mechanic. I also believe we could see the return of the Level Up mechanic, where you add more mana to your Beholder and it gains more and more powerful abilities!
