The first chapter of the game was originally released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux on February 10, 2017. The game's first chapter features imagery reminiscent of early animated cartoons, and the player navigates through an animation studio with the objective of activating a large ink machine, solving puzzles in order to do so.

The game's first chapter, "Moving Pictures", was approved for release on Steam via its crowdsourcing platform Steam Greenlight. The game's second chapter, titled "The Old Song", was released on April 18, 2017. The game's first two chapters were made available on Steam on April 27, 2017. On May 9, 2017, Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter Three was announced to begin production. There are a total of five chapters planned for release.

Bendy and the ink machine is first person puzzle action horror game inspired by early cartoon animation

It's a Chapter game with the First chapter being free and the remaining chapters being sold as downloadable content. Chapter 2 is Currently available for purchase on the steam store

You've received a letter from your dear old friend Joey Drew. Apparently its been 30 years since you two last spoke and he's suggested you swing by the old studio. There's something he would like to show you.

Shortly after arriving at the old studio though you begin to realize things are no longer the same as they were when you left those 30 years ago. There's no artists drawing up the next bendy episode. Or orchestras composing the next score of music. Instead what you find is the dusty remains of a once thriving animation studio, empty desks and recordings left behind by the former employees that prove only to confuse the overall situation. And of coarse theres the ink machine

Dont let the The Sepia tone color scheme and cartoon like textures deceive you. The game is filled with eerie shadows, creepy sounds and frighting jump scares. All this while trying to complete puzzles so you can move onto the next step in the game

Bendy and the ink machine is being developed by “TheMeatly Games” and Chapters are still being released incrementally. At the time of this video chapter three has been announced as “In production” but a definite date has not been set.

So if you like 1930's style cartoon cardboard cutouts staring into the deepest pit of your soul....
