16Living organisms have an immense range of strategies and strengths that they use to stay alive as long as possible. If you find yourself, as I did, wanting to try something without traditional combat, while still aiming to preserve a feeling of constant danger and looming death, the natural world can be a useful source of ideas. I'll talk very briefly about my experience creating mechanics for a tardigrade as a PC, and present a first iteration of extracting some general principles from the experience.
