In this forth installment of the "Best 5.56 Ammo" series we take a look at the HPR BlackOps 62gr OTF. This ammunition was donated to us by HPR and we are excited to see what it has to offer.
This ammo is a bit different from the others that we have tested. The Black Ops 5.56 features a powder alloy core which is designed to fragment inside of soft tissue. This deals a quick transfer of kinetic energy into the target and lowers the risk of overpenetration.
Today we test this ammo using bare ballistic gelatin, a car door simulation, and a dry wall simulation. Let's see how it performs!
