In this video we continue on our quest to find the highest performing .223/5.56x45mm cartridge. After our first video we received an incredible response from our viewers. We are now testing six different cartridges. In order to keep the videos short, we will be examining each round separately.
Today we are finishing up our testing on the Black Hills Ammunition 50gr TSX all copper bullet. This round was developed by Black Hills in order to mitigate the issues seen with the standard steel penetration M855 ammo. The TSX features an all copper designed bullet that is designated as "barrier blind".
This design allows the bullet to punch through most obstacles without losing much energy. The round is also made to resist fragmentation when striking obstacles. This makes it a great choice for our quest to find the best AR ammunition.
We tested the Black Hills TSX previously by firing it into clear ballistic gelatin. This proved to be quite effective and can be viewed in our previous video. Today we fired the round through a car windshield, a simulated car door, and a wall you would find in a standard home.
