I've only had a couple of hours with BF2042 on my Xbox Series S, but it's enough time to draw some initial impressions.
Battlefield 2042 will feel very familiar to BF4 fans, with everything from the weapons, vehicles and the look of the map being on the same page.
The graphics, so far, although smooth and sharp, aren't as good looking as BF1 or BFV, and this is on a next-gen console.
Overall, BF2042 so far feels to me like a very arcade-like Battlefield - it doesn't feel like you're fighting in a war or a real battle, it's more like a level someone created in an editor, it has a very "sandbox" feel.
Let's not draw too many conclusions so far though, and I'll get some more time in before I decide whether to buy BF2042 this year, or instead put my time into the likes of Hell Let Loose, Insurgency Sandstorm or of course COD Vanguard.
Thanks, Rob.
