As per Mike the moderator on the Positive Grid forums, there is a beta update which fixes this whole issue we've been having. It is still odd how that other rep said it was intended. Either way, it's being fixed in the next official patch! Once again here's the links to the 2.1.8 retail prior to the "cash grab bug" and to the beta 2.1.10. Enjoy everyone! this is great news.
