Before we embark on planetary explorations, I wanted to play around with air-breathing engines a bit, try to see where their limits lie and how hard they can be pushed towards those limits. To do that, we build an air/space craft with a ginormous number of jet engines. Will Jebediah survive our fatal curiosity? Will he die on the airstrip in a ball of fire, metal, blood and sinew that might launch him into the premature glory of the rolls of the honored dead?
