Dancing Skylark seeks solace and living legends in Urth's Gift, where she is angling for the nearly impossible Namitaro. Get ready for a BOSS BATTLE!

GIANT TAKITARO
Location: Urth's Gift
Weather:* Thunder or Thunderstorms
Bait: Glowworm
Time: Any
Mooch: None. Straight catch. Grants "Fisher's Intuition" buff for one minute, making it possible to catch Namitaro.

Skylark's Pro Shop Tip:
Namitaro is one of the Living Legends required for the "Feast of Famine" quest, which grants the title "Of Dragons Deep" upon completion. It is one of the hardest fish to catch in this questline, requiring you catch a Giant Takitaro using a Glowworm, change your bait to Topwater Frog, and catch a Namitaro before the one-minute buff wears off.

The Giant Takitaro is a simple straight catch from a Glowworm with an impossibly low bite rate. I have cast at least a thousand glowworms during the weather window, and the catch in this video is only my third Giant Takitaro. I wish you better luck than I had bagging this one! There are unconfirmed rumors that this fish can desynth into the Summer Sandals, but I have never seen it.

*A note on the WEATHER: I have not found any documentation that a weather transition is required for these two fish, but I have only ever had Giant Takitaro bites (catches and misses) following a transition from CLEAR SKIES into THUNDER or THUNDERSTORMS. I suspect but cannot confirm, based on experience and catch reports, that GIANT TAKITARO is a weather transition dependent fish requiring the weather change from either Clear Skies or Clouds into Thunder or Thunderstorms. The fish in this video was caught on the first cast following a Clear Skies into Thunder transition.
