The amount of millenials that consider this their "T.V. Dad" is simply astounding. Not only was the show tremendously pervasive (pre-cable – if you were alive, you saw it), it was excellent!
They used to do philosophy on T.V. Not like hokey, overly-simplistic representations, either – these are common situations on this show:
A) Everyone's kinda right, based on each individual's point of view
B) There is no right choice, you're just debating the relative badness of the choices you do have
C) You can't make the definitively right choice because you don't have all the needed information, but a prompt decision is still required
D) Everybody's all ****ed up / everything's so discombobulated and weird, man, you have no real moral frame of reference. You just gotta try your best to make sense of it all and survive it.
