Biker Mice From Mars Playthrough (SNES)
4Of all of the late 80's to early 90's TMNT knockoffs that came along Biker Mice From Mars was by far my favorite. The cartoon I still find to very entertaining and amusing and the toys were pretty decent too. What I was not aware of at the time (and wouldn't be aware of for many years to come) that there was a video game for the SNES. Having known that at the time I would've been all over trying to find it since I grew up with a SNES and I loved the show so naturally it would have made sense to get it. Well for one thing the game is scarce and pretty obscure, which is unfortunate since the game itself is a very solid combat racing game in same vein of Rock N Roll Racing and Mario Kart to a certain degree. The one thing that really surprised me when playing it was how in depth it can be when it comes to strategy in terms of who to play as, what items/weapons to level up and when/where to drift etc. All pretty standard stuff in way but I quickly learned that if you don't learn some strategies with whomever you choose and you don't get 1st or 2nd you are not going to get enough money to upgrade at the pace you need to and therefore you will not win. As the difficulty gets increased this game gets absolutely merciless...like I tried my best but I cannot figure out how to race properly and effectively on the highest difficulty which means that the last two planets to race on would be unlocked. Simply put I'm just not good enough lol. So I did the best I could with this playthrough, and who knows maybe one of these days I will get good enough to unlock the last courses. Overall though, with solid and tight controls, great music and good amount of characters to select I really enjoyed playing this game and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys challenging racers. Problem is that the game is pretty rare and finding loose copies are easily going to run you 100 or so...so that's a bit of a problem. If you can find one cheap I would say get it since its a very solid licensed game. So Let's Rock..And Ride!!! Thanks for watching!
