Bioshock Infinite: Part 13- A Deadly Marksman
0No one can hide from the Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle...
Although this weapon doesn't show up until towards the end of the video, I figured I may as well use this since a not much else occurs in the video other than dialogue, Kinetoscopes, a new gear, and some newly purchased upgrades.
By the way, if you have not seen any videos from back when Bioshock Infinite was still in the Beta, you should check out the sniper from then, because that looked pretty awesome as well. To be honest there a handful of things that I think that would have been fine if they kept from the Beta, but I will save that discussion for another video.
The Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle, according to the Bioshock Wiki, is based off of the Springfield 1903, a sniper rifle that actually didn't start as a sniper rifle. Instead it was initially issued as a standard infantry rifle during World War I. This rifle would be used in World War II instead as a sniper rifle due to its long range capabilities.
Now the Bird's Eye however isn't an exact replica, as it actually is more of a combination of sniper rifles. For example, the Springfield 1903 did not have a detachable clip. Ammunition was actually fed through the top of the gun where the bolt was, all on a single cartridge. The clip was actually more popular on a german rifle known as the Gewehr 98. The sights are also said to be more similar to a M1917 Enfield.
This is a top pick for me personally, especially with the accuracy upgrade. What do you guys think of this sniper?
