Black Base Rainbow Swipe - Cells & Composition WOW!
147Hey Everyone! Thank you for being here today. I’m so happy you are here with me today to see what I created.
Today’s piece is inspired by: A previous video I did using rainbow colours on a white base: https://youtu.be/eJtY0MvYv3s THIS TIME I’m only changing one thing and that’s the base colour - this time I’m using black.
Technique used: swipe
What I learnt: it’s ok to scrape some of the design and rework it until you’re happy with the composition.
Colour palette: all rainbow colors! Red, Orange, Yellow, Green , Blue, Violet - and a mars black base.

00:40 - layering the base
01:25 - layering the rainbow colours
02:55 - let's swipe with white
04:00 - a look at the cells
04:37 - let's stretch the design and tilt
06:50 - scrape and change it up
07:40 - a look at the wet version
08:50 - a look at the dry version
Hair/Blow Dryer: I currently use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting unless I specify otherwise.
