Black Mesa: Blue Shift chapters 1-5 playthrough 4K max settings - an incredible fan made remake
Personalmente me lo he pasado genial jugándolo, y he quedado realmente impresionado en muchas ocasiones. ¡Gran trabajo HECU Collective!

Black Mesa: Blue Shift is a remake in development of Half-Life: Blue Shift, the second expansion released in 2001 of Valve's legendary game, and developed by Gearbox Software. This remake is in charge of HECU Collective as a free mod of Black Mesa, developed by Crowbar Collective, which was the remake of Half-Life's main campaign. A few days ago they released the 5th chapter, so currently 5 of the 8 chapters of the expansion are available.
I play it in 4K resolution and with all graphic options at maximum (except motion blur and chromatic aberration, which I disable because I don't like them and they don't look good in the videos anyway). This includes the options that the game does not recommend to set to maximum. Playing with a RTX 4090. Personally I had not played what had been released so far, so this playthrough is a gameplay playing it for the first time.
I found it a really spectacular remake, although remake is an understatement, it is practically a reimagining, which greatly improves the original expansion, which in my opinion was fine, but it was still more of the same without much to contribute except a few more hours of Half-Life (which was great, anyway).
It was quite evident that this expansion was born as an extra for the cancelled version of Half-Life for Dreamcast, because it lasted only about 3 hours. This remake, however, you can already see it, it is not finished yet but already gives about 8 hours of gameplay, so it is very expanded. Just look at the 5th chapter, Focal Point, if memory serves me correctly it lasted only half an hour, here it lasts almost as long as the entire original expansion.
In short, a spectacular remake and totally recommended that every Half-Life fan should play. Personally I had a great time playing it, and I have been really impressed many times. Great job, HECU Collective!
