Este remaster oficial, obra de Lightspeed Studios en colaboración con Nvidia, es sin duda uno de los mejores remasters de un juego clásico. Habrá quien diga que se carga la ambientación del original, pero un cambio tan grande va a pasar con cualquier remaster que modifique profundamente aspectos como la iluminación y los efectos visuales en general, como es el caso. Simplemente, es otra forma de disfrutar de Quake 2, con la jugabilidad clásica pero con un lavado de cara impresionante.
