Great game so far. Main issue I have with the game is the super pixelated visuals on ANY moving object, even smoke. This was an issue on PS5 and my PC with an RTX 3070 and Ryzen 7 processor. I refunded the PC version because of this, but the PS5 version is just as bad with this. It seems like that is just the game. Not sure why this is not mentioned in tech reviews as it looks very shitty. Other than that the gameplay, atmosphere and sound design is all top notch. Main thing is the gameplay, and that's awesome so far. I can overlook the visual issues but its definately disappointing after all the hype the visuals recieved over the years. Ive never seen that much pixelation and motion artifacts in any modern game that I can remember.
I tested this game on both my new Asus OLED PC monitor and OLED TV from 2018. It does look better on the smaller monitor with VRR enabled to smooth shit out but those motion artifacts are there regardless.
Ended up going with the PS5 version as I was done fucking around with PC settings to try to fix issues which are built into the game. I probably shouldve tested if I could run the game at 60 FPS on PC, as I didnt check what framerate it was running at. That might be the only real improvement visual, but Im not sure if it was running at a higher FPS on my PC. I was irritated after several failed installs and didnt really want to mess with the PC version after that. I just wanted to get into the game.
The PS5 version does have HDR. I didnt turn HDR on, on my PC, so I dont know if its supported on the PC version but read that it isnt. Not a huge deal but something to consider if you like HDR.
