Finding out that the way Goldfire seems to train his security forces - both the rank-and-file humans and the genetically engineered mutants - by pitting each group against each other in a sprawling set of fighting pits deep within the STAR Institute complex isn't all that surprising. What I'm wondering is why there aren't any rooms dedicated to observing the fights as they unfold. Isn't that what arenas are basically known for?

Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is a first person shooter game developed by JAM Productions and published by Apogee Software in 1993 for DOS PCs, and would easily be considered one of the better "clones" of the original Wolfenstein 3D.

In the distant future, the evil Dr. Pyrus Goldfire has been twisting the STAR Institute, and the brilliant scientific minds it employs, toward the creation of genetically engineered mutants. With an army of monsters, Goldfire plans to take over the Earth.. unless Blake Stone, a British secret agent, can stop him!
