Blake Stone E4M2 blooper reel, due to informants and plasma aliens
I was dreading making a recording for E4M2, the bulk of the level is challenging but fine for a second level. Two rooms have High Energy Plasma Aliens. That is fine. Both rooms must be gone into. One only has a drone to be killed, the other must be gone through at least three times to get kills, secrets, points and the red key.
That second room has four first spawning machines, AND three biotechs start in that room! I got lucky that two of them spawned as bad, but even one biotech in a cramped room is too much. A machine gun isn't powerful enough, so it must be the plasma discharge unit which has large splash damage, great for pushing through the plasma aliens, bad if an informant happens to be walking nearby.
Did I mention three trips?
1) After unlocking the door and into a room, I choose the red key room.
2) Pushing through to the other room, I went to the one that has the dual neutron disruptor
3) Getting back out to the elevator.
All of that hoping that my informant, and for you, up to 3 possible informants choose to be away from your intended path.
As you will see, its not just the plasma aliens that do the killing here, or cause informants to die. Star Troopers always hit hard. Fast moving plasma spheres trying to ambush.
Did I mention in the section before I'd forgotten to wake up a mutated guard and had trouble in the main video?

8:46 - Thinking its not the mutated guard (but it is!)

11:09 - Lol plasma aliens kill me
11:19 - Attempt 6 After consulting a map, found it was the mutated guard
11:59 - Mutated guard FINALLY wakes!
12:58 - Attempting spawner room, run 1
14:06 - Ready for run 2
14:24 - 100% bonuses! Still need to get out
14:43 - Got hydrated, time to move out!
14:55 - DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY!
15:10 - Attempt 7, death to Star Trooper
Attempt 1: Informant dead in 13 seconds, then I die 7 seconds later
Attempt 2: ALMOST got through .. informant blocks the exit door, I couldn't leave the room with 5% health and I'd left some aliens alive behind me.
Attempt 3: Moving towards Dual Neutron Dispruptor, informant moves so my splash damage kills him
Attempt 4: That previous informant death made me trigger shy .. didn't kill enough aliens who happily murdered me instead
Attempt 5: I get through the spawner hell, only not to find the last missing kill after standing next to him and being unable to wake him
Attempt 6: After consulting a map I found the guard I missed and finally wake him. I get 100% .. then sadly kill the informant after I was clear
Attempt 7 - Sloppy on the star trooper.
