Blasphemous was releases in 2019 and is a 2D Metroidvania style game developed by Spanish indy studio The Game Kitchen and Published by Team 17.

The game follows The Penitent One In Silence. Risen from a mass grave inside a black stoned church, The Penitent one sets out to uncover the mysteries of the Holy Miracle. The Miracle deacribes the acts of God and their effects on the land of Custodia. the game is steeped in religious iconography and themes. It also boasts an amazing soundtrack composed by Carlos Viola.

This playthrough is on NG+ (ascended) and will include the dlc: Stir Of Dawn, which can only be accessed on Ascended mode.
