Hello and welcome to another PlayStation 3 exclusive sneak peek. This time I take a look at a PSN title called Blast Factor.

Blast Factor is a simple shooter where you are a microscopic organism sent into another persons body to destroy the corrupt cells that attack you constantly like you are a virus, even though they are the virus. It's simple and yet effective.

The graphics are pretty basic but have plenty of color and is a pleasure to look at. Crisp 1080p graphics keep your eyes glued to the screen even though there are many other games out there with better graphics, this first generation PSN downloadable title still has decent graphics for its time. 8/10

The music is nearly non existent and I have heard much better in shooters. Overall for a shooter the music is just not fast paced enough to keep up with the action and makes you wish for more as you play though the game until you reach end bosses. It's just not my cup of tea to be honest, but it's not the worst either. 4/10

The sound effects are simplistic and sometimes annoyingly repetitive. The explosions sound decent but I just wish the game had more to it, even for a $10 downloadable title. Some sound effects are super powerful and surround you with heavy boom! But most are just not enough. 5/10

The controls are pretty decent but you are at the games mercy as you must always use the six axis controls to tilt the screen from left to right and sometimes you can easily make a mistake forcing the enemies right into your ship. Not the most effective way to play a shooter but innovative for the time it came out in 2006. 6/10

Bottom Line: When the game first came out it was a blast to play, but even then I still wished it had more. With the DLC that has come out for the game it is a bit better but I still have many of the same complaints about the game. It's decent but not mind blowing. It's worth the purchase price of $5 IMO and nothing more 6/10

This game is 1080p native, has DS3 rumble support, Trophy Support, and Dolby Digital sound quality,
