Does Overwatch need a new 3rd game mode?

Hey friends today I want to talk about the idea of a potential 3rd game mode in Overwatch that fits between Quick Play and Competitive.... essentially quick play with competitive rules and no ranking points.

I think we can all agree even in the current triple tank meta we still have an excessive amount of DPS players in quick play. Now, of course, theirs the "It's just quick play bro... who cares" and I totally agree with this idea... at the same time
the only way to properly practice real team comps is in competitive which defeats the purpose of practising Overwatch in quick play for competitive.

With most quick match games having 4-5 DPS characters it completely perverts real practice resulting in DPS dying way quicker along with healers and tanks under way more pressure to play the role effectively. This already brings more questions than answers. Maybe tanks and healers need to be more attractive with their gameplay for players....
If a 3rd mode gets released won't this undermine quick play? and if a 3rd game mode does not have rewards like ranked points... won't people just do the same thing?

These are design decisions I think best left for the Overwatch game developers but overall I think a solution does need to be put in place to make quick play a more enjoyable experience. I find myself flocking to mystery hero in the arcade just to get a small break from the 4-5 DPS games in quick play.
