What will the future of ARPG Hack and Slash games look like? Games like Diablo III, Path Of Exile, Grim Dawn and more recently Lost Ark and Lineage Eternal. With a fairly healthy player base, these games are by no means dead, whether you want to believe it or not. For example Path Of Exile is currently trying to break into china with newly joined adviser David Brevik who was the Co-founder of Blizzard North the studio behind the original Diablo II. Along with PoE... Diablo 3 is moving forward with a new DLC introducing the Diablo 2 necromancer re-imagined in in the D3 engine which is expected to be released in mid-2017 or later. Last Grim Dawn has been consistent adding content updates.

After covering and playing so many Action Role-playing Games I've come to the realisation the genre only has 3 directions to move forward and 2 of these advances are happening right now.

In this video, I talk about how this gaming genre will move forward in 2017 and beyond.
