New Epic Survival Game! (Conan Exiles Overview)
17This new Survival Game looks insane!
Conan Exiles is a new open world survival game with allot of hype at the moment. I wanted to make this video to not only update you all who do like survival games but to also collectively build an opinion on Conan Exiles during the research of this video.
So let's go over some of the cool stuff. Most survival games have a specific setting, in this case... the world is mad max-like but not bases in a post-apocalyptic world... obviously.. just in terms of deserts and harsh landscapes everywhere.
It has the basics you can expect
Building, strongholds, weapons, crafting tools, creatures for hunting, growing crops for resources and wild enemies.
But what makes Conan Exiles stand out... they have a unique religion system. You can capture enemies, sacrifice their hearts and summon giant gods to destroy other people's structures creating a cycle of destruction. Remember this is an open world game so I assume it will run on a server system. It's also going to support modding, probably servers with +1000% resource gathering, thats what I usually see in survival games.
There also a slavery features, you can force other players to help your cause. This should create some interesting social dynamics... or at least a hierarchy amongst players.
Conan Exiles also includes some cool RPG elements with ancient ruins of ancestors you can explore to find loot. The game hits steam early access on feb 1st 2017... let's hope it doesn't stay in alpha for 7 years.
