Back in Quarrycrest, Cyrus visits his friend Odette to learn about the missing book, "From the Far Reaches of Hell," which is about necromancy. There's also a kidnapping spree in the area, and all signs point to people being taken to the sewers. In the deepest part, we find a ritual where people's blood are converted to bloodstones.

You need to kill his minions before you can remove his shields. This guy is quite strong physically and magically, though blinding him could help with some of his more powerful physical attacks. He can resummon his skeletons, though if you're lucky and break him a lot, he might not get a chance.

Gideon turns out to have an incomplete copy of the missing book and seems to be working for a client. Perhaps the client is related to the book theft.
