Next up in Bloodborne is the Blood Starved beast and it's a fairly straightforward boss fight. Initially Blood-Starved Beast is passive, but when the fog gates close it closes the gap quickly.

Seriously, it moves very far when it lunges and it does a fair amount of damage. Your best bet is dodge to the left, and counter when applicable. It worked for me fairly well. The only caveat is, it has poison so be aware of that (unlike me).

Blood Starved Beast's poison drains health fairly quickly considering it says "slow" poison. So make sure to have a few antidotes on hand, or be prepared to use quite a few blood vials if you get poisoned.
