I wasn't planning, yet anyway, to record this, but I noticed somebody was saying Firestorm outright sucks so this has to be said. I will say that Firestorm does have problems being competent in the 80s, but when all is said and done, I think FS still has its place as a screen clear mixed with being a manual method of buffing towers. It says something about FS sub-L20 being underrated when I could actually get the order of operations wrong on Round 98 and I STILL live.

But wait, what about FS against the Super Ceramics of the 80s and 90s in general? Well, here's my point: Gwendolin justifies her price relative to the other Heroes who aren't Adora, Benjamin, or Churchill, as being the best Lead buster Hero limited only by mediocre attack range, when she has excellent flood control, and STILL she has having good ability to keep Camos and clusters under control even if you do have to think about how to do that. Passive Heat It Up also has the added advantage over Pat Fusty's Rallying Roar of having more range to work with, so Gwendolin has more versatile ability to position. Long story short? Just have good tower management for the 80s and early 90s. We already have somebody who can Batman Backhand Round 15. You see that FS, at sub-L20 (Gwendolin would be at L20 by Round 98 on an Intermediate or higher map), already can melt the Round 98 MOAB flood to effect.

I wouldn't object to FS being buffed a bit, but calling it bad outright is a failure to appreciate having a screen clear that doubles as a manual buff. Gwendolin has the fast level up curve, what do you expect?
