Blue Yeti VS MXL BCD-1 Microphone (Mic Comparisons)
33This video compares the sound quality and practicability for the Blue Yeti vs the MXL BCD-1. Obviously a dynamic microphone will sound better, however, the Blue Yeti does put up a good fight. The Blue Yeti picked up a lot of background noise but that can all be fixed with noise cancelling features. So which mic won?
In my opinion, as a beginner, the Blue Yeti is a great choice. Only go for an XLR mic if you have a larger audience and are willing to invest. The Blue Yeti has four different recording applications which may become useful to you at one point or another. All in all the Blue Yeti does pick up a lot of background noise while the MXL BCD-1 mic does not. This can be fixed. Looking up YouTube videos on how to make your mic sound professional can help take you a long way.
