Okay, so we move on to another couple of stages, and the thing that each stage will have in common, and that's the fact that they'll each have an interesting gimmick that differentiates them from the Standard field.

First we spend some time in the desert on the DryConvey stage, which is a sand-and-cactus-themed variant on the standard stage, but with a band of moving sand that will carry things around in circles. There's also a switch in the very middle of the stage that will reverse the flow of the sand.

---

The other stage you'll see here is the Turn&Bang...and I really have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the names here...they're really goofy. But it's the battle that counts, and a battlefield by any other name would still be as prone to be filled with explosions.

Turn&Bang, which for whatever reason takes place underwater, is marked by several arrows on the ground. If you kick a bomb across the floor where there's an arrow, the kicked bomb will change direction to follow where it points. You can still stop a bomb as normal after having kicked it (although somebody can feel free to explain to me how THAT works), even if its direction is changed.

---

You'll probably have noticed by now that when a player is defeated, they take up a position on the outer walls of the stage, able to fire weak bombs one at a time at a fixed distance outward from the player's position. This is known as Revenge mode, and is a typical feature of most Bomberman games, but the actual properties and abilities of a Revenge player will vary from game to game.

Specifically, these bombs are the default minimum strength and always land three spaces away from the wall. It's very unlikely that you could manage to take out a living Bomber under these circumstances alone, but if you should fire one into an explosion already in progress, you can detonate them early in order to catch an otherwise safe player in your bomb's explosion.

Unfortunately, unlike in some games, you can't resume life as a normal Bomber by killing a player while in Revenge mode.

All revenge players vanish when there's only a minute remaining in the match and Sudden Death activates.

(I have no idea what's up with the blue line on the side of this video, but it's present in all of the videos in this capture series.)
