This bizarre-looking fish from the series is known to be a Barreleye Fish. Let’s get to know these two better.

Comparing their appearances, Boo has a see-through head with green eyes. In real life, Barreleye Fishes has a dome-shaped transparent head that contains their green eyes. The transparent head makes people get their small oval-shaped noses called nares are often mistaken for their eyes.

Now, let’s compare their abilities. Since Boo has a transparent head, it allows him to see what’s above him. He is also known to live in the deep sea, where Peso met him. According to Animalspot.net, Barreleye fishes are deepwater creatures that live at a depth of 3330ft.

Since the Barreleye fishes live in that depth, their tubular eyes are covered with a green fluid shield that allows them to locate their prey in pitch dark areas. Additionally, these eyes see upward and straight ahead.
